Product Description

(Mentha villosa) a.k.a. Cuban Mint. Mojito Mint is a beautiful full leaved mint originating in Cuba. Easy to grow, its spearmint scent is mild and warm – not overbearing as other mints can be. ****HOW TO GROW**** *** DO NOT COVER THE SEEDS WITH SOIL! Sow seeds indoors just on the surface of the soil. SOIL should be kept consistently warm at 75-85F. Cool soils, below about 60-65F, even just at night, will significantly delay or inhibit germination. Additionally, overly warm soils, well above 90F, can inhibit germination and provide ideal conditions for seed rot. Over watering can cause fungal growth which leads to seed rot. Excess water can also bury seeds deep in the soil where they will not be able break the surface. Water when the soil surface just begins to dry. Please keep the container covered with a plastic bag on the top of the fridge where the room temperature is higher, therefore the soil temperature is perfect for germination. Keep moist, not letting the seeds dry out between watering. *** **SOIL Temperature for Germination: 65-75F **Height: 2 Feet **Spacing: 12? apart **Hardiness: Zones 4-11 **Sun Requirement: Full Sun / Partially Shade **Days to Germination: 14-21 **Germination Rate: 92%
